What could be a better way to ‘Reboot’ yourself in this scorching heat than a visit to the enthralling Dhauladhar Mountains – Breath-taking views, curvy roads, snow covered mountains and much more.

All excited on 19th May morning, we started our journey from Ludhiana. The excitement of reaching the destination got me through the high mercury levels of the city. The road trip was full of pixels and a group of cool and savvy posers including me (blush blush). The 5 hour drive to Dharamsala was garnished with stops for Masala Tea, Lemonade, and Lunch and decorated with the Aura, Coolness and Calmness of the place.

On Reaching Naddi

We were welcomed with Tea and Snacks followed by shifting to our respective rooms. The most exciting part of my journey – My Room – Imagine a luxury super-spacious suite room you may have seen in movies/pictures with a big balcony facing the snow covered Dhauladhar Mountains. It was outrageous and I loved it so much.

After a little rest, we started making arrangements for the Annual meet – Reboot. Reboot started with brief presentations about the company’s growth, HR policies and open discussions on how can the processes be more streamlined. It was great to listen to the views of fellow colleagues. Then, followed the achiever awards and giving out cool titles like Swiss Army Knife, Bermuda Triangle, Bullet Kaur, The Monk, Dragon Warrior and more. All things for Punjabis conclude with something sweet – We too followed the tradition and cake cutting was celebrated.

After all the pomp and show, the team enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner and then finally moved to the respective rooms – only to rise early the next day for the adventurous trek.

20th morning, the energy levels were at the peak. Post breakfast, the team travelled to Galu Temple, Mcleodganj, which marks the starting point of the Triund trek. I have seen and done treks before but I am sure this is the closest one to the nature – with a rocky path under my feet and a magnificent mountain range in front of my eyes. I kept my lunch pack and water bottle in my bag and started the 6km long journey. The newness of the trek and the weather kept me going and approx 3 hours and 4 pit stops later, I could see the people standing on top, clicking pictures and laughing and running – Yes, I was about to reach the top, pheww!

The accomplishing feeling of reaching the top was very overwhelming but the view from the top overpowered it all- spectacular, picturesque, eye-catching, breath-taking, amazing – the words cannot describe it.

The evening followed with bonfire, games, music, dance and dinner.

The next day (21st May) had no less in store. We climbed down and went straight to the Paragliding site. It was a feeling of pure joy and ecstasy. It was incredible looking down from my seat, seeing myself float above Earth (with the pilot behind me), suspended by nothing but a canopy and a harness. In the meantime, everyone below — cars, people, nature were going about their own routine, without a care in the world, without even knowing that I was up there flying and having the time of my life. All thanks to DigiMantra Labs, I got to tick off item #19 of my bucket list – ‘Flying’.

The final stop after paragliding was having lunch and then we started our journey back to Ludhiana. This will be indeed one of the most fun experiences I have ever had. A true ‘Reboot’ing experience.
